This past Sunday night was the season finale of Celebrity Apprentice. I must admit, I have been watching all season long and have been enjoying the drama, the crazy, and the cool. One thing I do not understand though, is why the ratings are lower than the last installment of the show.This years finale ratings averaged 2.9 18-49 , that is down 15% from last springs finale. Maybe we can attribute this decline partly to the Billboard Music Awards being a direct competition and scoring a 2.9 as well on ABC. This is even more interesting because this award show took a 5 year hiatus but in its return actually gained 6% in its ratings versus its last showcase in 2006.
Celebrity Apprentice definitely took a hit from the Billboard Awards but this season has been a tad bit lower in ratings than the previous season even without this added competition.
